Maiden Spain-Ghana tourism and trade forum opens
Casa Africa in collaboration with Canary Consulting and Trading of the Spanish Embassy and Spanish Chamber of Commerce has hosted Ghanaian delegates and business executives in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain.
The delegation had a cocktail reception at the Major’s office led by Elizabeth Adjei, Ghana’s Ambassador to Spain and Alicia Rico, Spanish Ambassador to Ghana to open the event.
The opening of the forum was chaired by Jose Segura, Director General de Casa Africa with supported from Luis Padron, Secretary of the Chamber of Commerce; Sergio Moreno, Deputy Regional Minister for Tourism – the Canary Islands and Kwabena Okyere Darko – Mensah, Western Regional Minister.
According to the convener of the two-day event, Steven Blessing Ackah, the forum opens to promote trade and tourism with a back to back section to dialogue on the trade partnership agenda.
The Director of Casa Africa expressed satisfaction on the model of co-development highlighting on tourism, trade and port promotion.
He was also excited about issues of air connectivity to and from both countries, sustainable financial sector, improving natural resources during the panel discussions.
He is looking forward to a successful touristic strategy to benefit the Canary Islands and Ghana at the end of the two-day event.
